Buyers' Agent

Under your instruction, and at an agreed fee, we are able to act on your behalf in representing you in the Dominican Republic or assisting you in an efficient and timesaving manner to:

Source, negotiate and purchase property; taking advantage of over 20 years of local knowledge and expertise in both the market and the legalities in establishing a fair market assessment of value before you proceed to 'Offer'.

As a Buyer’s Agent, we will assist in:

• Structuring of the transaction to you, (the Buyer’s) advantage.
• Accurate information/disclosure of material facts.
• Explanation of all procedures, forms and agreements.
• A monitoring of ´escrow´ and ´closing´.
• Keeping your bargaining and financial position confidential.
• Promoting and protecting your best interests.
• Discussion of property resale-ability issues.
• Passing on information that may enhance your bargaining position over that of the seller.
• Assist in writing the offer with your best interests in mind.
• Ensuring that you are exposed to the largest market of property both listed and unlisted.

Project management

If you were not resident on the island, then we would recommend that you employ a project manager to oversee the building and liaise with yourselves. The type of service offered will vary with the fee charged, however we would suggest that you budget around 2 – 5% of the total building cost, excluding land. We would be happy to discuss this with you in more detail at your convenience.

Relocation service

Living in the Dominican Republic is actually quite easy; it’s just that you have to find your way around in the early days. We can offer tailor-made assistance or guidance on the following:

• Gaining residency
• Setting up bank accounts
• Appointments with local lawyers
• Arranging utilities i.e. Electricity, telephone /Internet, gas and satellite TV
• Locating schools, clinics, shops and manufacturers
• Car hire, airport transfers and car purchase
• Suggestions as to local trades people
• Meeting social groups
• Accompanied shopping trips to all towns and cities
